In little bit more than 2 weeks will be Carnevale and Venezia will turn in a kaleidoscope of colors, exquisite and glamorous masks and costumes, making walking around the Calle ( street in Venice) an extraordinary adventure for everyone that wants to spot the most amazing costume.
Carnevale is also the time to indulge in food before the beginning of Lent. One of the pasta dishes that I truly love is Lasagne di Carnevale, a concoction of ricotta cheese, boiled eggs, salami, and meat sauce. This dish will impress your guest and probably take you all of Lent to recover from it. Carnevale is also an occasion to indulge in sweet pastries and fritters, here is a super short list of it: frittelle, lattughe, castagnole, frittelle di mele, Pignolata and so much more.
